About Us


We are Knox - a small independent owner-run all day eatery on Sligo's O'Connell Street (no.32), located along Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way.

We are open Tuesdays & Wednesdays (9am - 5pm), Thursday - Saturday (9am - 5pm & 6pm - 10pm) & Sunday (10am - 5pm) We close on a Monday (we need our beauty sleep too!!)

Our focus is to do the best job we can, serving people honest fresh food and drinks that they can enjoy and that we enjoy making and serving (really important!). We pride oursleves on serving fresh, local and seasonal Irish produce for all our customers to enjoy.

Our menu is short and pretty straightforward - as we said we want to do the best we can - no fancy jargon here!

We serve RTO coffee from Grumpy Mule with a double shot as standard and a selection of loose leaf teas from Bewleys. We also provide a daily juice squeezed by our own fair hands!

In the morning we have a selection of baked goods - made fresh that morning along with a simple breakfast menu up to 11.30am. We also have a great weekend brunch menu available (served saturday and Sunday 12pm - 4pm).

At lunchtime (12-4) we have dishes to suit all tastes - from fresh inventive soups and sandwiches, healthy salads to our signature burgers. We also try to keep the chefs on their toes by having daily specials with a focus on locally sourced Irish ingredients. But don't just take our word for it (we might be a tad biased), cheack out some of our customer reviews on our Facebook and TripAdvisor pages.

Our wine list and craft beer menu has also been carefully chosen by us (we take our job very seriously!), and they are available with both our lunch and tapas menus. 

Here at Knox Sligo, we have an exciting Tapas menu, with strong Mediterranean influences and bursting with flavour. Our tapas menu is available from Thursday - Saturday, 6pm - 10pm.
